David Tishbi Jewelry designs and handcrafts custom jewelry at its studio at 632 Montana Avenue in Santa Monica. Bring an idea, a photo or a stone you already own, and David will design a one-of-a-kind ring, necklace, pair of earrings or engagement ring with you, then make it in-house.

Clients come from Santa Monica, Brentwood, Pacific Palisades, Malibu, Venice, Beverly Hills, Bel Air and across Los Angeles. Appointments take place at the studio, Monday to Saturday, 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM, and private appointments before or after hours can be arranged by phone at (310) 866-6845.

1 | Your Vision

Do you possess a photograph for inspiration or a vision of what you desire? While that’s an excellent starting point, we also offer a thoughtfully selected array of conflict-free and ethically sourced jewels in our store for you to peruse. Additionally, we’ll assist you through a distinctive design journey that encourages your creative instincts to flourish.

2 | Choosing Stones

We firmly believe that there exists a special piece meant exclusively for you. While two stones might seem identical on paper, each possesses a distinct energy that only you can discern. We encourage you to rely on your intuition for the selection. This step is often the most crucial, and we’re committed to tirelessly searching our vast inventory until you discover the one that resonates with you. If you have a previously selected stone or family heirloom, we can consider any option as part of the design process.

3 | Drawings

Your piece begins to take shape once we produce 3D renderings. This phase is crucial for refining the details. A CAD drawing serves as the digital portrayal of your jewelry, encompassing every aspect, from the setting and metal band type to the arrangement and dimensions of each component. We won’t advance until you’re fully satisfied.

4 | Wax Molds

Certain clients find it fulfilling to witness a prototype of their piece. For those desiring a preview of their creation before the final product, we craft wax and metal moldings. These interim models secure the stone(s) you’ve selected, aiding in visualizing the ultimate design and facilitating any final adjustments.

5 | The Big Reveal

The Big Reveal” marks the eagerly anticipated moment when we unveil your custom-crafted jewelry masterpiece. It’s a culmination of meticulous design, expert craftsmanship, and your unique vision coming to fruition. With bated breath, you’ll witness the unveiling of your personalized creation, whether it’s an engagement ring, a pendant, or a pair of earrings. This moment is not just about seeing the physical manifestation of your imagination; it’s about feeling the joy and satisfaction that comes from bringing your dream piece to life. What custom jewelry does David Tishbi make?

Rings, including engagement rings, necklaces and pendants, earrings and bracelets, all designed with you and made in-house at our Santa Monica studio. David also redesigns jewelry you already own into new pieces.

Can you use a stone or jewelry I already own?

Yes. David can design a new piece around a stone you already own, or redesign inherited or older jewelry into something you will wear.

How does the custom design process work?

You share your idea or inspiration, choose your stones with David, review drawings of the design, and the piece is then made in the studio and presented to you when it is finished.

Where do custom design appointments take place?

At our studio at 632 Montana Avenue in Santa Monica, Monday to Saturday, 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM. Appointments before or after business hours can be arranged by phone at (310) 866-6845, and you can also book online.

Can a personal shopper arrange a custom piece for someone else?

Yes. Personal shoppers and advisors can brief David, review designs and stones, and attend appointments at the studio on a client’s behalf.
